The book of Houseplants by David Squire and Pete McHoy
This book is an ideal guide and general reference volume for lovers of houseplants.
For easy usage it is divided into two main sections. The first part is an A-Z of plants for the home, conservatory and greenhouse and consists of over 250 entries packed with information on how to care for and grow each plant.
The second section of the book deals with a wide variety of topics of general interest to the indoor gardener. Comprehensive advice is given on choosing plants and on placing plants to best advantage. There is a chapter on container gardening, while another details the various methods of propagating plants. The book also tells you the best way to extend your indoor garden to porch and patio. Finally, there are reference chapters on plant pests and diseases and a glossary of gardening terms.
The book is illustrated with over 200 pictures, half in colour.
